Synopsis
Lillian Kupersmith and Cydney Mallone have not spoken in 15 years.
Former best friends and business partners, they run into each other
at the funeral of a mutual enemy- the woman who stole Cydney's man
and Lillian's inheritance. Unexpectedly stuck in a wrecked car on
an unplowed road, the two women tell the stories of their interwoven
pasts in order to stay awake. But as these "bedtime" stories
unfold, it becomes clear that a far greater danger lurks, and the
stories themselves take on new urgency in a new light.
About the author: Ethel Gordon lives and works in the Boston
suburbs. This is her second novel.
